Maschinenträume Vol 3
Art Exhibition, (SA-PO), Seoul, South Korea, 2015
“Maschinenträume”: an allegory for the urban contamination?
The Maschinenträume III art series concludes a year-long exploration of urban, artificial landscapes — a collection of 13 individual works that tell stories of machine-made dreams. The solitary android, an analogy for our transported hopes, fears, and desires, leaves the main stage. Each artwork was published as a unique piece (1/1), printed on 90×75 cm, handmade 850g paper, and was sold during the Seoul, Korea Exhibition in 2014.

SA-PO: The art of “Maschinenträume”
“Maschinenträume” is a series of original artworks by Igor Posavec and Sven Sauer (SA-PO). Our works create illusions that challenge the viewer’s perception. We are drawn to megacities such as Tokyo, Shanghai, and New York — places where the speed of technology has outgrown what civilization can endure. Maschinenträume reflects a kind of rationalist romanticism: a fascination with a world addicted to its own reality. Through rich imagery, the series portrays the lonely search for identity and intimacy amid a global epidemic of brands.

Youngeun Museum of Contemporary Art
Founded in 2000 by the Daeyu Cultural Foundation, the Youngeun Museum of Contemporary Art has become a vital hub in the contemporary art world. The museum presents both group and solo exhibitions, showcasing prominent artists and their works. Through its artist-in-residence program, the museum actively supports contemporary artists in their creative processes.
In addition, the museum hosts annual workshops, artist talks, and art-related projects, and organizes international exchange programs. Through these continuous efforts, it seeks to foster dynamic discussions on contemporary art and strengthen its role as a core institution within the global art community.
A Bridge Between Art and the PublicThe museum curates exhibitions that engage both art professionals and the general public. By offering a variety of educational and cultural programs, it provides opportunities for visitors to experience and enjoy art more deeply. These initiatives aim to expand public access to culture and enhance the social role of art, building meaningful connections between art and everyday life.
The 360 Minutes Art Exhibition runs for exactly six hours. Only within this short time frame can visitors admire previously unpublished, never-before-seen artworks. Once the time is up, all unsold works are burned and destroyed forever.
This socio-critical event inevitably compels us to examine the value of art in relation to the constantly accelerating rhythm of our fast-paced society.
